Adopt a Block
What happens when christians take up the call to "serve others"?
History
The adopt a block program began at the Los Angeles Dreamcenter when a church believed that poverty's worst effects could be solved by the church simply leaving her walls and serving the surrounding communities. 10,000 volunteers and countless changed lives later, the L.A. Dreamcenter has proved that weekly "serving others" is not only possible but crucial to our mission as followers of Christ.
Sarasota's Adopt a Block
Modeled after the L.A. Dreamcenter's ground breaking program, Face serves 5 neighborhoods in the NewTown area of Sarasota through trash cleanup, need connection (delivering appliances, furniture, donations, etc.), prayer walking, and grocery distribution.
